Entry Level Software Tester

Responsibilities

Major responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Create, review and execute manual test cases based on functional requirements and/or use case specifications

· Analyze test results, identify defects, write clear and concise bugs, and accurately and thoroughly test bug fixes.

· Work with development, QA and product management to gain understanding of requirements and work items.

· Provide managers with documentation of test results and status reports

Required Skills

· 1 – 5 years of software testing experience

· Ability to create and execute test plans and test cases

· Understanding of QA processes, approaches, methodologies and the software development life cycle

· Strong analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills

· Must be extremely detail oriented and able to clearly articulate ideas and concepts both verbally and in writing.

· Must be a self-starter and able to flourish in a fast paced environment.

Plus

· Experience testing web-based and cloud technologies

· Experience with Microsoft team foundation software

Experience with test case management software
