JOB DESCRIPTION

This unique position has primary responsibility as a business analyst, with secondary responsibility as a quality assurance testing analyst. This cross-functionally ability to identify business requirements and to perform QA testing will help balance workload across the product development life-cycle while exposing the Analyst to the results of well-defined requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify and document business requirements in an Agile/Scrum environment, using internal and external customers interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, process analysis and user stories
• Execute testing activities in an Agile/Scrum environment to ensure that the software meets your requirements, is of high quality and meets regulatory compliance
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
• Challenge business assumptions and promote new solutions to help improve operations

• Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language
• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs
• Daily Tasks Of a Business Analyst Might Include
• Attending client and stakeholder meetings

• QA Analyst Overview
• A quality assurance analyst works to test a software program and report any bugs that might appear.

Commonly known as a software tester, quality assurance analysts are responsible for catching any major problems that reduce the quality of the product before it goes to launch. They must document every problem that occurs and reproduce it exactly so that developers can implement a fix for it. Doing so prevents a piece of software from being released with a bug. A QA analyst may work closely with both IT support technicians and system security analysts.

EXPECTED BACKGROUND

• Excellent English oral and written communications skills are required
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical, business, or financial discipline
• Must be able to work independently in the absence of supervision
• Understanding of enterprise application development, from database design to developing for multi-tier Web applications

QUALIFICATION

College degree

Domain experience in Finance, Banking, Insurance, Retail or Healthcare and/or benefit administration is a plus
