Entry Level Mechanical Engineer

Wold Architects and Engineers seeks individuals looking for a career opportunity as a mechanical systems designer located in our downtown Saint Paul, Minnesota office.

Our full-service architecture and engineering firm is a dynamic, growth-oriented company providing a wide range of services for predominately public-sector clients, including troubleshooting and problem solving for existing facility issues and new facility design. Wold provides an integrated team approach to deliver high performance building solutions to meet our clients’ expectations for function and superior energy performance. Typical projects include K-12 public schools, courthouses, public offices, city halls, law enforcement centers and correctional facilities.

Mechanical Engineers work under the supervision of a P.E. and primarily focus on building systems design for our clients including design of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning, plumbing, fire protection and building automation systems. Engineers may also meet with clients on a regular basis to understand their needs and determine the right solution. They will also be involved in assessing the condition of existing mechanical systems and designing solutions within existing facilities with the goal of improving the energy performance.

Qualifications:

• 4-year degree from an accredited institution
• Registration as an Engineer-in-Training or ability to obtain an EIT
• 0-3 years experience
• Strong organizational, writing, interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work closely in a team environment
