Entry Level Interior Designer/ Associate

Who we are:

Small but very busy Boutique Interior Design Firm focused on both Residential and Commercial Interiors is looking for a professional, organized and self-motivated Designer to join our team.

We are multidisciplinary designers with expertise in multi-family, hospitality, commercial, and residential properties. Our design team is dedicated to innovative solutions and distinctive design, and we’re looking for a dynamic entry level designer to join our growing team.

Please Note: This strictly an ENTRY Level position. Please read the entire ad.

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

– Work with architectural drawings sets

-Researching and writing specifications for all finish materials, lighting fixtures, codes, ADA requirements and inputting that information into the drawing set.

-Answering RFIs and reviewing submittals.

-Setting and meeting tight deliverable schedules to meet client’s deadlines.

-Making and delivering PowerPoint presentations and interacting with clients.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

-Extremely creative interior design skills, with a strong working knowledge of Design

-Computer Skills: AutoCAD (2005 preferably), SketchUp , Microsoft Creative Suite (Word, Excel, etc.), Photoshop , Adobe Illustrator, Revit

-Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

-Prompt response to e-mails

– Able to work independently and as part of a team

-Able to work in various projects simultaneously

-Work under pressure, produce deliverables and meet deadlines

-Experience working in a small interior design firm a plus

-Graduate from a Design School with an accredited program

-You are detailed, process-oriented and organized

-Must be local and have reliable transportation.
