Entry – level Financial Analyst (Reporting)

Description

The Entry- Level Financial

Analyst role is responsible for providing support, analysis, and reporting of

operational and financial information relating to all of our capital investment

projects. This includes redevelopment projects, capital improvements and

building or site repairs at the properties. As part of these responsibilities,

the position will ensure the integrity of the data, resolve data and process

problems, and provide specialized and ad-hoc reporting. Additional

responsibilities include being a point of contact within the corporate office

to our team members around the country.

Essential

Job Functions

Genuine excitement and passion

for analyzing large, complex data sets and converting them into the

information/insights that drive business decisions at all levels of the

organization.

Preparation of weekly, monthly,

and quarterly reporting and analytics

Assist in the month-end close

process, including compiling accruals and other accounting entries.

Perform budget to actual

variance analysis

Assist with gathering data for

forecasting

Track capital projects and act

as the point person for communication with the project teams

Prepares reports of findings

and recommendations to management. Strong understanding and application of

financial and economic principles, concepts, practices, and standards as

well as knowledge of industry practices.

Provides technical expertise

regarding systems and processes. Documents processes, policies and

procedures for use by others.

Participate as a team member on

process improvement projects

Qualifications

A collaborative self-starter

who thrives in a fast-paced environment

High attention to detail and

strong analytical skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft

Excel and Access. SQL and VBA

experience is a plus

Knowledge of core financial

processes (monthly close, budgeting, forecasting)

Experience with financial systems

is a plus (Hyperion, Oracle, SAP, or similar)

Excellent written and verbal

communication skills

Strong academic background with

a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related technical

fields

0-3 years’ of finance or

accounting experience with leadership ambition
