Entry – Level Financial Analyst (FP&A)

Description

This Financial Analyst role is a vital part of our FP&A team. They will assist with the financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting of Aimco. This role will work in collaboration with business owners across the company including acquisitions, dispositions, redevelopment, operations, and accounting. Tasks may include:

• Preparation of financial analysis files
• Preparation of schedules for quarterly financial reports
• Compile and analyze company and property valuations
• Assist with gathering data for forecasting
• Perform budget to actual variance analysis
• Assist with preparation of annual budget
• Prepares reports of findings and recommendations to management. Complete understanding and application of financial and economic principles, concepts, practices, and standards as well as knowledge of industry practices.
• Compile monthly report for senior management
• Provides technical expertise regarding systems and processes. Documents processes, policies and procedures for use by others.
• Participate as a team member on process improvement projects

Are you the right person for the Job?

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• 1 to 3 years of finance or accounting experience; real estate industry preferred
• High attention to detail and analytical skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• VBA, Hyperion Essbase and/or database knowledge preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Passion and willingness to learn
