Entry-Level Electrical Engineer

has an immediate opening for an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer in our Pittsfield, Maine office (our Falmouth, Maine, office would be considered).

This position involves work on industrial and utility electrical projects, especially concerning medium and low-voltage generation systems, switchgear, power transformers, power distribution cables and equipment, protective relaying, automation, and controls.

Qualifications:

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
• Possess current EIT designation or qualified to take the exam; and the ability meet the requirements for Professional Engineer as soon as eligible.
• Experience with, and a personal interest in power generation and controls design a plus
• Highly developed oral and written communication skills, self-motivated, and able to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• Be willing to travel
• Must possess permanent authorization to work in the United States

Typical duties include electrical design tasks under the direction of mid- and senior-level staff. The successful candidate will be part of a team of technical professionals working on various hydro and other renewable energy projects in the U.S. The successful candidate will be part of multidisciplinary project teams and have the opportunity to be mentored by senior staff in the fields of hydroelectric and fish passage facilities design while incorporating the skills of structural, civil, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical engineering.
