The Professional Development Program offers the opportunity to experience several different job assignments before making a commitment to remain in a particular position.
Rotations may include experiences in Rates & Budgets, Software Support Services, Customer Facing Business Management, Procurement, and others (International, Estimating & Pricing, Subcontracts, etc.). These opportunities will vary but will expose you to various functions within the full life cycle of business management and supply chain functions supporting enterprise shared services.
The first rotation will utilize SAP to support Accounts Receivable processing in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, company policies and procedures, disclosure statements, and government regulations. Candidate must demonstrate an understanding of basic accounting principles and concepts, and be able to communicate AR related accounting policies and procedures, as well as demonstrating analytical and problem solving skills. A successful candidate should have excellent organizational, verbal and written communications skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Process incoming cash receipts, lockbox payments, check deposits, AR refunds, write-offs, and intercompany cash transfers
  • Maintain reporting for metric information, reconcile GL cash accounts
  • Support, analyze and researching unidentified receipts with bank and/or customer
  • Assist with internal and external audit inquiries
  • Process incoming mail and web tickets
  • Participate in projects and/or process improvement tasks as appropriate

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, or other related discipline.
  • Excellent leadership, communication (verbal and written) and organization skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accounting orientation
  • Must be able to handle multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines, and work to metrics
  • Competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Must be a US citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum GPA of 3.25 or higher
  • SAP experience
  • Experience in a financial services environment
  • A strong understanding of accounting and cash controls
  • Government contracting experience
Understanding of FAR, GAAP, CAS, and SOX requirement
