Entry Cyber Security Analyst

Our Entry Cyber Security Analysts work under moderate supervision, provide analysis, technical design, developmen t, and security architecture. They work h ands on in security tools, SIEM, IPS, Web content filters and other security enterprise protection solutions

REQUIRED SKILLS

Knowledge of:
Cyber security discipline in IT and OT environments

Skills in:
Project management

Interpreting internal/external business issues and recommending best practices

Ability to:
Comprehend and apply technical concepts to operate complex cyber security software, perform daily security operations, and contribute to cyber incident response

Provide guidance, clarification and feedback to business partners on cyber security

Solve complex problems

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Security or closely related degree.

Experience:

  • At least one year of information technology experience.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Prefer GIAC, CISSP, CISM, experience with PowerShell and Linux.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate for this position will be required to complete scheduled compliance training and submit to periodic background investigations as mandated by NERC.

Job requires regular on-call responsibilities.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

This is a junior position; direct supervision is provided. Completed work is reviewed for reasonableness and conformity to agreed-upon procedures.
