Enterprise Project Manager (Scrum Master)

The Enterprise Project Manager is responsible for appropriate application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to achieve successful Agile projects results. A successful candidate will have the adaptability to navigate both an Agile Scrum Master role as well as a traditional Project Manager role.

This Project Manager will be the Scrum Master for the IT Customer Solutions Development team projects and work directly with Initiative Leaders, Initiative Business Teams and Development Teams to manage projects, resources and the process. In addition, the Project Manager will monitor project schedules, budgets, milestones, risks, and resource constraints, while collaborating with other project managers across the enterprise developing a PMO center of excellence that effectively communicates to IT Leadership and Initiative Leaders.

Responsibilities

Manage IT Agile Scrum projects while following appropriate project management methodologies.

Have a high degree of technical expertise – ability to communicate to technical audiences.

Focus on Agile methodology in project design while working closely with Product Owner communities

Clear understanding and expertise utilizing change management techniques.

Process focused to create repeatable project management practices that fit into our organizational culture.

Keep IT Core Leadership well informed of all project successes and challenges.

Focus on delivering high quality customer service and support to Initiative Teams and Development Teams.

Appropriately balance resource accountability of project requirements and communicate constraints to resource managers.

Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.

Facilitate meetings effectively including all Scrum Ceremonies.

Provide regular status updates to the project team and IT Core Leadership.

Balance competing project constraints such as: Scope, Quality, Schedule, Budget, Resources, and Risks.

Has positive and effective communication skills – can convey information appropriately to different audiences both written and oral.

Remain on the forefront of emerging project management and industry practices. Is committed to continuous learning and personal development.

Qualifications

Core Skills:
2+ years leading Agile Scrum projects.

Certified Scrum Master or equivalent experience.

Strong understanding of Microsoft Team Services to manage Agile Scrum processes

Proficiency with Microsoft Project software.

Positive attitude and strong ability to work in a team environment. Understand objectivity while remaining open to others’ ideas and exhibit willingness for change.

Ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment and comfortable with shifting priorities.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Organization and efficiency – must plan work activities and use their time efficiently.

Interpersonal and communication skills required to effectively communicate in a professional environment.

Ability to juggle multiple tasks to meet changing priorities and challenging deadlines efficiently and effectively.

Able to collaborate with other Project Managers throughout the organization as needed.

Able to travel when necessary.

Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen Additional Skills:

Agile Coach experience.

3+ years Project Management experience.

Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent experience.

Aptitude to learn wholesale food distribution industry terminology and products. People successful in this position

We work in a blended “On Premises” and “Virtual Office” environment within the IT team. The team collaborates using tools like Skype for Business and webcams to enrich our connectivity in this blended environment. This position will be based out of the Scottsdale Corporate Office but will be interacting with a disbursed development team.

You may be required to occasionally travel to one of our Operating Units to work on projects or with other associates.
