The incumbent performs technical and informational support for engineering programs that require facility, infrastructure, and equipment information.

  • Provides technical support for planning of design projects impacting existing facilities and infrastructure. Incumbent is responsible for ensuring the Government receives quality and complete work as defined and specified in the contract documents.
  • The incumbent will utilize knowledge and experience in one of following specialized areas: Architectural, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical/Plumbing.
  • Keeps supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered and identify and reports safety, environmental and other work requirements for resolution

    Required Skills

    • Incumbent is responsible for performing maintainability, compatibility, and operability reviews of renovation and alteration
    • Participates in Pre-Final and/or Final Inspections for projects nearing completion and must become familiar with new equipment and identify O&M concerns, which shall be addressed prior to finalization of the project/s.
    • Attends O&M training for completed construction projects.
      • Provides equipment data necessary for programming out year maintenance and repair
      • Provides recommendations for modifications to schedules of existing equipment maintenance and repairs.
      • Provides equipment operational data useful in tracking Preventive Maintenance (PM)
      • Uses Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel & Access) to correspond through email, develop documentation supporting Maintenance Engineering programs and build & manipulate real property equipment databases/spreadsheets.
      • Provides shop-level recommendations of facilities requiring assessments for upcoming
    • Ensures SMS database program information in support of MMP is properly captured with equipment assessment information gathered by respective technicians.

      • Provides technical support to prioritize Asset Management Plan (AMP) data calls from higher headquarters.
    • Participates in a variety of technical civil engineering work involving both field and office support of engineering projects.
    • Conducts reviews of plans and specifications for clarity, completeness, and the ability to construct, maintain and operate in accordance with applicable codes and standards. Recommends changes in standards, administrative procedures, facilities, methods and practices.
    • Utilizes and interprets technical manuals, shop directives, blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and specifications, verbal and written instructions.
    • Documents records of inspections, maintenance and repairs as required.
    • Interfaces with customers and responsible for customer feedback, as applicable.
    • Operates motor vehicles in accordance with company vehicle policies.
    • Complies with applicable federal, state, United States Air Force (USAF) and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) environmental laws and regulations.

    • Complies with health and safety rules and procedures; performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.
    • Incumbent will at all times wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as determined by position and duties.

    Required Experience

    • High School diploma or equivalency.
    • Oklahoma Journeyman’s License with minimum of five (5) years’ experience applicable trade (Mechanical for Engineering Technician Inspector, Mechanical and Electrical for Engineering Technician Inspector, Electrical). Associates Degree in Civil, Industrial, General or Architectural Engineering or five (5) years’ verifiable experience as a journeyman or lead in a construction, maintenance and repair field (plumbing., civil, architectural/structural) for Civil/General
      • Current state driver’s license, acceptable driving record, proof of valid insuran
      • Knowledge of industry codes and standards.
      • Knowledge of generally accepted standards of workmanship in construction &

    Maintenance of facilities, grounds, and infrastructure systems.

    • Demonstrated skills in using various electronic devices commonly found in an office environment, including such items as personal computers, digital still and video cameras, printers/copiers, scanners, and digital voice
    • Demonstrated skills in using various computer software, including ability to use the Windows operating system as well as common office software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoi
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, with personnel at all levels.
    • Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses/IDs/certifications.
    • Ability to solve problems and work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to adapt to changes in technology and applicable facility/infrastructure codes and standards.
    • Familiarity with facility/infrastructure codes and standards, as applicable.
    • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional & courteous manner in diverse situations.
    • Proficiency and knowledge of a variety of hand and power tools.
    • Demonstrated working ability read, write, speak and understand English.
