With a global installed base of 1 million passenger seats, the Seating Aftermarket Organization (SAO) offers a comprehensive aftermarket service to our customers. These services include spare parts supply and repair services across all classes of seat whether it is Super First Class, Business Class or Economy Class. The Seating Aftermarket business and dedicated repair station based in Winston-Salem, NC, specializes in the repair and overhaul of B/E products. Services include cleaning, repair, overhaul, refurbishment and refreshing of passenger seating.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, the Engineering Technician will perform the following key responsibilities:

  • Perform final inspections on completed work before it is approved for return to service. (Repair Station Only).
  • Ensure that hourly associates obtain appropriate training to maintain the correct knowledge in all regulations, procedures and processes.
  • Assist and participate as required with all FAA, airline, AS9100, and other audits.
  • Assist in the creation, implementation and maintenance of procedures as required in support of product or process improvement initiatives.
  • Research and develop new manufacturing techniques and/or tooling to improve throughput, reduce scrap/rework, improve product quality.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality teams to determine best manufacturing process design.
  • Provide guidance and training to hourly associates.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with approved data and conforms to all quality standards and specifications.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation for all work in accordance with company standards and customer requirements.
  • Work with hourly associates to help meet Customer contractual deadlines (i.e. turn-around time).
  • Perform other related duties as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and one-to-two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
