Professional Engineering Intern/Engineer-in-Training—Water/Wastewater

Position Overview:

J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. (J-U-B) is looking for a full-time Engineering Intern (EI) to aid in planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater systems in Coeur d’Alene, ID. While applying technical engineering knowledge and skills, this position will:

• Provide study, design, and construction phase services for water and wastewater projects with city, county, state, and federal clients.
• Participate as part of a multidisciplinary team including structural, mechanical, electrical engineering expertise.
• Supervise support staff assigned to projects including drafters, project engineers, and construction observers.
• Interact with government agencies for necessary permits, easements, encroachments and other necessary requirements.
• Participate in public meetings or open houses to discuss project details and inform the public.
• Attend council and commissioner meetings.
• Bring new insight to how we serve our clients.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree (M.S. or M.E.) in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering with an emphasis in water and wastewater treatment strongly preferred. A bachelor’s degree augmented with exceptional work experience, will be considered.
• EIT certificate
• Proven ability to self-motivate as well as leadership qualities to motivate those around you.
• Excellent technical, communication, and writing skills.
• Desire to dig deep to solve technical challenges
• Hands on experience with the physical environment (construction, farming, etc.) a plus.
• Integrity and a true desire to build your engineering career
