Engineer in Training

We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineer to join our Engineers in Training Program.

The Opportunity

Join our 3 year EIT program working with our Corrugate Division which has 4 manufacturing plants in Brampton, Mississauga and Scarborough.

The Program

Our training program provides 2 – 4 work assignments at different facilities within the GTA. Each EIT will spend 6 – 12 months at each location before rotating to a different facility. You will be supported with a training plan that outlines objectives to be achieved during the work assignment. You will also be paired with a mentor who will provide technical leadership and guidance.

Throughout the EIT program you will gain experience in the following areas: process engineering, project engineering, continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and preventative maintenance. At the conclusion of the program you will be placed in one of our facilities to take on a role in Engineering, Production, Maintenance or Quality & Continuous Improvement. This placement will be based on business need.

The Commitment

Selecting the successful candidates is an important decision for both Atlantic Packaging and yourself. We are looking for candidates who are willing to make a 3 year commitment to the program. We will work together to make the 3 year commitment rewarding. The successful candidates must be able to work at any of the locations listed above.

The Candidates

Atlantic is looking for highly motivated individuals who can demonstrate their technical and leadership potential during the EIT program. You will have a Bachelor of Engineer or Bachelor of Applied Science. Specialization in Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred. Intermediate expertise in Microsoft Excel and strong time management and problem solving skills will be essential to your success. . You will have a proven track record of achieving results in school and other endeavors.
