Engineer I

The function of Gwinnett County Department of Planning and Development is to promote and enhance the quality of lie of residents, visitors, property owners, and businesses of Gwinnett County. The Department accomplishes its mission through programs and services that encourage high quality development as well as maintenance and revitalization of existing neighborhoods. The Department consists of the Administration Division, the Development Division, and the Planning Division.

The Engineer I position is responsible for multiple aspects of the review process within the Storm/Water/Sewer Plan Review Section of Planning and Development. Primary responsibilities include review of development plans and documents for compliance with applicable regulations and adherence to mandated guidelines pertaining to stormwater design for compliance with the Gwinnett County Unified Development Ordinance and other applicable codes and regulations; research, investigation, and evaluation of complaints and inquiries received by the public or management regarding water, sewer, and stormwater issues.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
