· Take full ownership of the robot’s embedded computer hardware from concept into production, sustainment, and continuous improvement

o Specify the individual components needed to perform the mission requirements, e.g. processors, memory devices, network interfaces, etc.

o Design and develop the required printed circuit boards to interface with sensors, the shore (power supply), and the cloud

o Oversee component testing and fabrication

o Design the needed testing fixtures to verify firmware/embedded systems integration

· Interface with the other members of the cross functional team to make sure it all works together seamlessly

· Maintain hardware configuration management, documentation, and revision control

· Extensive testing of both hardware and software in simulation and physical unit tests, with continuous improvement, and integration

· Hardware diagnostics and debugging
