Email Marketing Specialist

The Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for over-seeing the production of triggered and programmatic email communications such as lifecycle messaging, triggered, and personalized campaigns. The Email Marketing Specialist will work closely with graphic design, product development, merchandising and marketing teams to create emails with effective and visually appealing email templates, landing pages and assortment mix. The Email Marketing Specialist will also work closely with the analytics team to utilize analytics and continually test and optimize email performance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage strategy and functions of triggered email campaign creation and execution including copy, design, HTML coding, email scheduling and analysis.
  • Develop and manage customer segmentation while overseeing flawless execution of campaigns.
  • Develop and refine lifecycle content marketing programs.
  • Collaborate with business partners to improve email alert design, business logic, delivery and performance.
  • Continually develop, measure and optimize campaigns utilizing A/B and multivariate testing.
  • Maintain timely reporting and documentation of email campaigns.
  • Communicate results to key stakeholders and provide/implement improvement recommendations.
  • Continually monitor internal testing results and industry best practices, and compliance around permission-based marketing, privacy, and spam regulation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications or related field
  • 2+ years at a leading retailer, e-commerce company, or digital agency driving email initiatives
  • Demonstrated success leading email marketing for large consumer bases (i.e. 5 million+) that have resulted in measurable lifts in customer retention and lifetime value
  • Extensive experience managing email campaigns and delivery through one of the major email service providers
  • Exceptional project management skills and strong attention to detail
  • Passion for data and metrics
  • Functional working knowledge of HTML in commercial email
  • Strong understanding of direct-to-consumer business and consumer behaviors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Ability to communicate results to team and management and to thrive in a fast paced environment
