Electrical Engineering Intern (Power Testing & Energizaiton)

This position is based in our Freeport, ME POWER Testing & Energization (PTE) office and the work is located throughout the Central and East regions.

Required Education/Experience

• Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology.
• Minimum of a 3.2 GPA.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented, excellent analytical skills, and ability to perform mathematical calculations
• Working knowledge of computer systems, microprocessors, relay software and project environment skills
• Administrative software: MS Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Some experience in managing electrical drawings.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship.

Desired Education/Experience

• Successful completion of junior level courses in power system analysis and/or power system protection is preferred. An emphasis in a power systems option would be a plus.
• Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills will be critical for successful completion of tasks.
• Prior internship and/or related engineering experience is a plus.
• Students who have passed or are scheduled to take the FE/EIT exam will be strongly considered for this position.
