EDI Project Manager, Order Specialist

Job description

The EDI Project Manager, Order Specialist supports the Customer Solutions team managing EDI project execution, focusing on review and analysis of customer requirements, technical documents, specs and samples. Responsible to create Logical Maps (simple to complex in nature). Work with internal programming group to execute maps, and evaluate test results in various KN systems. Manage all projects utilizing KN project methodology GCIM. Attend and present as necessary at external customer meetings and internal meetings to aid ISC business development. Strong knowledge of Supply Chain applications and deployment specifically involving Order Management (both origin & destination activities).

Your tasks and responsibilities

  • Review, execute, and update technical specifications, gather technical documents and sample files, etc.
  • Understand and validate customer business needs and KN system behavior
  • Create logical maps (complex)
  • Evaluate Test results in KN managed systems :
  • Etrack
  • KN Login
  • CIEL
  • GTN
  • CMS/Brokerage/IES
  • Work closely with Customer/3rd party IT team and write up meeting minutes and project documentation for technical meetings
  • Work with the KN International Supply Chain team to ensure system setup is done accurately and on time
  • Work with application teams for KN visibility systems on system bugs and issues
  • Update needed system documentation and configuration sheets
  • Accountable to work with the customers, implementation managers and solution engineers to create test workbooks
  • Maintain technical issue logs and provide input on change logs for KN order application systems
  • Review and fine-tune existing implementation tools to improve on-boarding process
  • Attend and present as necessary at external customer meetings and internal meetings to aid customer win ration and development

Your skills and experience

  • Strong knowledge of Supply Chain applications and deployment (both origin & destination activities)
  • Experience with international order and supplier management within the retail industry
  • Minimum of 3 years forwarding and/or steamship experience
  • Minimum 5 years EDI project management experience
  • Excellent written skills
  • Process mapping and analysis
  • Familiar with quality processes
  • Detail-oriented
  • Team Player
  • Experience with international order and supplier management within the retail industry
