Job Description:
The Executive Office of Health and Human Services is looking for a senior EDI-X12 developer who has a good understanding of health care claims processing, brings extensive working knowledge with the X12 specification (and 820 and 834 standards in particular), and is intimately familiar with Orion Health’s Rhapsody product having designed and implemented solutions for a health care insurance provider or state Medicaid group. The ideal candidate will be driven, need little supervision, and will possess all of the skills listed and hit the ground running in a fast-paced, high visibility environment.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
Experience with building interfaces using Orion Health Rhapsody Interface Engine, certification is a plus.

Strong experience with healthcare EDI transactions (X12), especially with the X12 820, 834 messaging standards.

Experience with Java/Javascript, XML/XLST.

Experience with Server Operating Systems (both Windows &Linux an advantage), Clustering and Load Balancing (an advantage).

Good communication skills.

Bring an additional perspective to the team based on knowledge of the 820, 834 standards and their proper use in Claims Management

Assist or lead design and code reviews and signs-off on artifacts from all project phases.

Install Orion Rhapsody product and deploy completed software builds.

Solid familiarity with an RDBMS (preferably Oracle)

Strong Rhapsody development skills and familiarity with most aspects of a recent version of the Rhapsody tool

Perform Orion Rhapsody maintenance, performance tuning, and support tasks.

Interact with the Project Manager and Project Team to ensure the solution is delivered on time and meets project requirements.

Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation for project team.

About Tech Refresh Phase II program:
The project will focus on the replacement a key piece of off-the-shelf software (The EDI Translation Engine) which is at end of life and must be replaced to stay compliant with CMS requirements and avoid security concerns. The EDI Translation Engine converts files from the CMS-mandated standard to an internal format used by MMIS. Qualifications
