EDI Business Analyst

From time to time our clients rely on REMEDI Electronic Commerce Group as a source for Data Integration knowledgeable Business Analysts who have real world experience with EDI / B2Bi and other data integration projects. REMEDI Business Analysts play a critical role when deployed on integration projects by leveraging their technical experience, acting as project liaison for key stakeholders, and working with technical teams and internal customers to gather, verify, and document requirements for system functionality.

You will interact with the end users, technical teams, and management via interviews, discussions, presentations, documentation, and other means to better understand their needs, business processes, and workflows. You may also be called upon to prepare other project related material such as; project budget recommendations, financial analysis, project status reports, scorecards, project definition documents, and /or project proposals.

To be successful in this type of role the ideal candidate will possess as many of the attributes below as possible:

2+ Years of experience working as a Business Analyst with specific experience in successful B2B / EDI / or EAI projects.

You must have experience managing various aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering, functional design, development iterations, and input related to development of test scenarios.

You must be comfortable working with and managing expectations of business users as well as providing project status reports and updates as required to senior management.

Demonstrable experience in conducting or participating in impact analysis discussions and planning to help prevent foreseeable adverse outcomes is highly desired.

Experience in both web-based, and client server applications is highly desired as clients may choose to deploy a cloud based or on-premise solution for their data integration needs.

Must be familiar with Use Cases and be able to communicate them clearly in one on one or group settings. You should possess strong written communication skills in order to clearly convey complex data integration concepts using use cases, flowcharts, diagrams, or other means.

Experience with tools such as Visio, MSProject, SharePoint, etc. is highly desired as is some prior development experience and ability to create database queries using SQL.

Progress toward or the achievement of an IIBA or similar certification is preferred, but not required.

To make the REMEDI team you should have a track record of successful Data Integration project involvement and the ability to work independently or within a team. You must have excellent interpersonal and organization skills, and be driven to exceed expectations. You must be legally eligible to work within the United States without sponsorship.
