EDI Business Analyst Intern

Job Descriptions:
Primary Responsibility:
Works with IT partners and SR. Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Business Analyst to translate business requirements into technical specifications and creates technical scope document that supports business needs. Actively participates in project meetings and works with Sr. EDI Business Analyst in requirements gathering sessions. Works with EDI developers to build technical specifications and present business requirements to IT partners to ensure technical specifications accurately reflect business needs. Coordinates, produces and distributes business documents such as reports, system and process documentation.

Possess knowledge of programming principles and be able to learn the current I-series platform so she/he can evaluate software and create documentation. Facilitates evaluation of delivered technology solution to ensure it satisfies the business needs.

Essential Functions:
DESIGN: Works with Sr. EDI business analyst to ensure business requirements are reviewed, addressed and accurate in deliverables before release

DEVELOPMENT: Learn EDI mapping techniques using current Inovis platform as well as gain the ability to evaluate other EDI tools

FUNCTIONAL: Documents all changes to business requirements throughout a project or initiative and identifies opportunities for application enhancement for future upgrades.

TESTING: Creates test plans, test files, and scripts for unit testing through integration testing. Performs testing as required & documents results.

Required Experience:

Minimum Qualifications/Additional Skills:Education, Training & Professional Experience:
Pursuing Bachelors or Masters of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Experience/Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming Concepts, Data Structures, Data Mining, Machine Learning.

Languages: C#, ASP.NET, Java, C++, PL/SQL, T-SQL preferred (any of these)

Exposure to popular APIs (Azure Machine Learning, Google APIs etc)

Knowledge of with HTML5 standards, CSS, and JavaScript.

Exposure to Angular, jQuery, jQuery UI, and Bootstrap libraries.

Familiarity with XML, XSD, JSON, REST

Knowledge & Employment Standards:
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Demonstrated planning, task organizing and execution skills.

Ability to work in team-oriented environment.

Working knowledge of software design technologies, best practices, etc.

Working knowledge of applicable hardware platforms.
