EDI Analyst

Position Description:
Responsible for directly supporting the EDI needs of the Avery Dennison business. The position requires the coordination across internal and external partners to include clients. The analyst must have experience in both manufacturing business and IT operations and have the ability

to oversee projects in support of both areas. The analyst must be able to capture and document business and functional requirements, perform analysis and demonstrate effective communication. The ideal candidate will have experience with EDI/XML standards such as CSV, X12, Edifact, UBL, papiNet, custom, and various communication protocols such as AS/2, FTP(s), sFTP, email, SOAP, Rest, PEPPOL, RosettaNet.

Qualifications:
Experience with XML format and knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain related business transactions, EDI technical experience with these transactions is a plus.

Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Fluent with commonly used EDI concepts, best practices, and procedures within the manufacturing industry.

Strong verbal and writing communication skills – both technical and non-technical.

Ability to work independently and self-motivated and have the willingness and ability to lead small initiatives and projects.

Ability to look at the larger picture and understand the interactions of different business and IT teams.

Leadership, communication, interpersonal skills coupled with strong customer driven orientation.

Familiarity with Quality Assurance concepts and test plan development.

Position Requirements:
Requires a technical, business, or scientific Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related EDI experience will also be considered.

3 to 5 years of relevant experience.

Experience with XML and Xpath data manipulation.

Experience with Regex data validation.
