eCommerce/EDI Business Analyst II

The Business Analyst is responsible for the business process analysis, system configuration definition, testing, implementation, training and support of key business systems related to the EDI, Global Data Synchronization, product identification and item management. The Business Analyst develops solutions to complex problems or assignments requiring independent judgment and ingenuity to lead the definition of new and re-engineering of business processes enabling increased business efficiency and profitable growth.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between management, end-users and IT in providing information for business application
  • Primary liaison with customers on EDI requests, develops technical requirements for Technical Services
  • Collect data/information for department use in special projects or reports
  • Develop project plan and coordinate implementation & support
  • Consult with subject matter experts and project team members to develop potential business and system solutions
  • Assist in the elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation of business needs, requirements, and to-be processes using interviews, workshops, and presentations
  • Communicate issues and risks related to business processes to project, IT and business unit management and help resolve related conflicts
  • Assist in developing communication content to business users during the project phase and in providing support during the post implementation
  • Validate that IT solutions designed will meet business requirements
  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing
  • Analyze and develops major projects and carries projects through to completion
  • Provides input to management on performance reviews of staff in work group
  • Develop training content prior to implementation and assist in training delivery to end users

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • Three to five years’ experience working with EDI or Global Data Sync
  • Experience working with EDI translations software using EDI Orders, Invoicing, Advance Ship Notices, Order Acknowledgements, and EFT
  • Proficient skills in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio & Project
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Self Motivated individual with a high level of attention to detail, organized and with the ability to build relationships
