Eagle Java Product Engineer III

The Product Engineer III consults with internal business groups to provide appropriate application software development services or technical support. Analyzes, defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks, controls, and outputs using standard development methodology. Works with internal business groups on implementation opportunities, challenges, and requirements of various applications. Analyzes information and provides recommendations to address and resolve business issues for a specific business group. Contributes to defining time tables and project plans. Analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost, time, and compatibility with hardware and other programs. Takes lead for establishing, implementing and monitoring ‘best practices’ for technical development methodologies and tools. Proposes innovative, creative technology solutions.

Qualifications:

• 8-10 years relevant experience required.
• Must have knowledge about the functions and features of multiple modern and traditional structured methods for developing applications.
• Jobholder must be knowledgeable about major tools in a toolkit for a specific platform and features of multiple toolkits.
• Must be experienced at addressing a variety of hardware and software malfunctions.
• Knowledge of specific tools and languages, including Java (required), C, C++, and SQL.
• BS degree, in computer science, information systems, math or equivalent. Other degrees considered.
  

Other skills:

• ​XML, JSON, SOAP, WSDL, XSD, XSLT, WPF, and Financial experience
• Database and SQL programming knowledge is preferable.
• Experience in the financial services industry is preferable.
• Ability to work effectively, cooperatively and in a professional manner.
• Strong experience in gathering business requirements, systems analysis, and effective deployment of information technology solutions.
