AutoCAD Drafter

SwapLoader is currently seeking a Drafter in our Des Moines, IA headquarters. This is an exciting opporunity to work with an expanding company!

DUTIES

This position createsCAD drawings and documentsto provide a visual depiction ofSwapLoader’s products to be used in sales and manufacturing of SwapLoader’s products. Working under limited supervision, this position carries out design/drafting assignments of routine to more complex nature, with latitude in the use of judgment to make decisions. Recommends updates to drafting and engineering standards. Utilizes knowledge of various equipment, engineering practices, mathematics and other means to complete drawings and projectsto meet SwapLoader objectives. Solves practical problems and deals with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements for SwapLoaderDrafter include:
Associates degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 1 year experience in a drafting or other engineering related position.

Mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations required.

Autodesk Inventor experience required, AutoCAD knowledge helpful.

Problem solving, organizational and PC skills including Microsoft products are required.

Technical writing experience a plus.

Team player and willingness to take ownership of assigned projects.

No travel required.

Final candidates will be required to pass a post-offer pre-employment physical and drug screen.
