Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

• Pass a thorough criminal, employment, and reference check
• Be team players with a deep appreciation for animals. Previous pet care experience is a plus!
• Be honest, reliable, and flexible
• Be service-oriented and committed to ensuring customer satisfaction
• Be able to work independently and in all weather conditions
• Have a valid driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle
• Have consistent access to a smart phone and access to your email on your phone
• Possess the ability to accurately manage a schedule of appointments

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

Dog Walkers Dog walkers are assigned a territory normally with a 5 mile radius of their home. They focus their efforts on exercising dogs while their families are at work Monday through Friday between the hours of 10 AM to 4 PM but also care for their clients’ pets on evenings, weekends and some holidays as needed. Some walker will be considered for walks between 6:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Care for cats or other animals is necessary for clients with mixed pet homes. Willingness to help outside of dog walking hours is required.

Pet Sitters are assigned a territory in which they provide services. We usually keep staff within a 5 mile radius of their home. Pet sitting is the ideal way to supplement your income while spending quality time with animals. Duties include exercising, feeding and caring for dogs, cats, and small animals while their families are traveling. Our pet sitting visits are scheduled mornings, evenings and weekends. Availability over holiday periods is required.

Overnight Pet Sitters mainly work in the evening overnight into the next morning. Assignments can be one night, but can last several nights in a row. Assignments that are several days in a row can be accompanied by dog walks during the day. This job is perfect for the empty nesters, graduate/doctorate students, or retired professionals!
