Overview:

The CSRs have worked hard to get the call booked. Everything you do (or don’t do) now either helps or hurts the technician’s ability to be productive. To help, we’ve created a very intensive Dispatcher training program and this very detailed manual.

General Job Responsibility:

It is up to the Dispatcher to know where all the Service Technicians and Apprentices are throughout the day. The Dispatcher keeps track of all incoming service calls by “priority” [see priority dispatch] to the available work force. This allows us to maximize our efforts. In addition, the Dispatcher must be aware that if over booking occurs, that they reschedule based upon the “priority” section of this manual. The Dispatcher is responsible for calling the customer when the Technician is on the way to their home as well as updating those who are waiting for service.

Salary:

We have a four step pay scale, this allows us to pay employees based on there skills and there desire to learn new skills. The scale starts at entry level with a pay of $10.00 to $18.00 per hour plus incentive pay.

Employee Benefit Package:

Vacation – 1 week after 1 year

2 weeks after 2 years

3 weeks after 5 years

Sick Leave – Eligible at 90 days after employment, 2 days

Single/Family Health Insurance – Eligible at 6 month, Employee is 100% paid for and family is an option paid for by Employee

Dental Insurance – Eligible at 6 month, Employee is 50% paid for and family is an option paid for by Employee

Life Insurance – Eligible at 1 Year, A $25,000.00 policy

401K Retirement – Eligible at 1 year, Golden Rule will match up to 3%

Holidays – Eligible at 90 days: Golden Rule Plumbing, Heating¸& Cooling will grant holiday time off to all employees on the holidays listed below:

* New Year’s Day (January 1)

* Memorial Day (last Monday in May)

* Independence Day (July 4)

* Labor Day (first Monday in September)

* Thanksgiving (fourth Thursday in November)

* Christmas (December 25)

This is a full time position with hours ranging from 7am to 5pm.
