Director of Strategies and Programming

The Director of Strategies and Programming is responsible for managing strategic direction as well as establishing the vision for programs that support the mission of the YWCA of Wausau, WI. The qualified candidate will have experience concurrently managing multiple priorities while providing direction as it relates to strategic planning and project management.

The ideal candidate will have a history of success in a significant leadership role. This Director of Strategies and Programming will be expected to support the vision and mission of the YWCA by creating opportunities that support the sustainability of the organization. In addition, this individual will be a visible presence in the community by fostering collaborative relationships with potential stakeholders.

The primary responsibilities are as follows:

• Programming and event management (Women of Vision, Guys Who Grill, Men Who Cook, etc.)
• Program and event marketing
• Strategic planning (SMART Plan management and annual roadmaps)
• Mission emphasis and support

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree preferred
• 3-5 years in a leadership role required
• Experience in a non-profit organization preferred
• Proven success in project and program management
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
