Director of Operations

Kraft Analytics Group (KAGR)

The Director of Operations will manage the day-to-day operations of KAGR, including ensuring on time delivery of client work, prioritization of internal operations, and cross-functional administrative support from with the broader Kraft Group (finance, IT, human resources). The Director collaborates and bridges the key operating of KAGR by addressing and prioritizing competing needs of clients and overall business. Critical to the Director’s success is the ability to build internal relationships with colleagues, attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to manage up. The Director will work closely with the CEO to manage the day-to-day operations of the business.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Project Management

Internal Planning

  • Act as the glue across business partners (Client Services, Consulting, Services, Engineering & Analytics) by creating achievable timelines, shaping resource planning and prioritizing competing needs of clients and overall business needs
  • Manages the overall day-to-day of operations to ensure delivery of services to clients are completed on-time, to standard, within budget, and with a high-level of client satisfaction
  • Ensures timely and accurate service delivery based on established KPIs while identifying potential risks
  • In conjunction with CEO, and leaders of business areas, develops and executes strategic and tactical plans covering product development and services.
  • Continuously identify opportunities and implement ways to improve service quality and operating efficiency, reduce product costs, and mitigate operational risk
  • Work with counterparts throughout KAKR to provide products and services that meet our clients evolving expectations

Business Goals and Objectives

  • Report regularly to CEO, with appropriate, timely and relevant KPIs of operations (e.g. sales effectiveness, client satisfaction, product development pipeline timing, etc)
  • Define new reports necessary to manage the business
  • Support the CEO with internal communication and employee culture development

Operations

Administration

  • Primary liaison for managing time and expectations of key internal partners within the Kraft Group (e.g. Finance, IT, HR and Legal)
  • Key responsibilities with finance include billing, A/R, A/P, invoice tracking, track overall budget and budget creation
  • For technology, work with engineering and IT to track system up-time, contractual obligations, standards met. Support any vendor transition through new system evaluations or evaluate changes to terms of existing partners
  • For legal, manage creation of new baseline legal documents. Address broad structural needs to meet changing client needs/expectations
  • For HR, develop job specs, as well as support in overall staffing design

Business Development & Client Relations Support

  • Ensure awareness of sales pipeline and how prioritized for internal planning
  • Manage feedback from clients & prospects. Ensure thorough sharing process internally

Regulation Observance

  • Manages and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements within the US and Internationally

KAGR Development

  • As business scales, provide strategic and analytic support on hiring, operations changes, improvements to space and other needs
  • Degree in business, quantitative discipline (mathematics, statistics), finance, economics, MIS or equivalent work experience. MBA degree or equivalent preferred
  • 10+ years experience with project management & operations with a focus on technology, product development, analytics & database management
  • Proven communication, managerial, leadership, negotiation and project/process management skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills is critical to success of candidate
  • Thorough understanding of technology product development lifecycle and experience scaling a business
  • Clear and concise in communicating information, with the ability to actively listen to what others are saying
  • Strong knowledge of business plans, financial goals, and administrative management
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must be detail-oriented, proactive, self-motivated and an inquisitive thinker
  • Ability to multi-task with a sense of urgency and troubleshoot with purpose
  • Flexibility and ability to juggle multiple projects and changing priorities in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
  • Ability to work seamlessly within an organization negotiating complex issues
  • Prior experience reporting to a CEO a plus
