Position Overview:
The Director of FP&A is responsible for the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of financial reporting with clear insightful analysis to drive improved business performance. The successful candidate will passionately work with key business leaders to identify continuous improvement opportunities and selectively focus on strategic growth projects. This position reports directly to the CFO Americas.

Duties:

  • Manage the monthly financial reporting process, ensuring all financial reporting is consistent with accounting policies and IFRS requirements.
  • Initiates business analyses and interprets results, including monthly variance analysis, and recommends appropriate actions to the business. Analyze current & past trends understanding key drivers such as price, mix, channel shifts, volume leverage, etc
  • Responsible for improving the visibility and integrity of the financial information with close coordination with the Corporate Controller. Identify & implement dashboards.
  • Demonstrate financial leadership to all parts of the organization, becoming a trusted advisor on financial and business issues.
  • Break down barriers to implement positive change and motivate others to implement process improvements. This involves working effectively across all functions in the business.
  • Lead the Annual OP Plan process, along with monthly & quarterly forecast, incorporating input from all stakeholders with the ability to articulate key changes versus prior year.
  • Manage staff in several locations to ensure all functions are performed in an accurate, timely, and thorough manner.
  • Prepare presentations for leadership meetings and Board presentations to clearly articulate business results and relevant business issues
  • Complete special projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related area
  • 10+ years of experience with financial reporting and analysis
  • CPA or a Master’s degree in business preferred
  • Advanced skill level with computer technology and software applications including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with BPCS or other AS400 based accounting systems or Microsoft Dynamics AX; ERP systems and Qlikview or similar database reporting programs are a plus
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, manipulating large data sets with Excel – including the use of Pivot Tables, Macros, index match, and other advanced functions
  • Experience with extensive data manipulation to create analysis, reports, and database interfaces
  • Strong business acumen, analytical capabilities, and ability to work within the complexities of a multi-national/global business while managing multiple concurrent assignments with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; time management, planning and project skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with and present to senior level leadership across multiple disciplines
  • Deadline-driven and results oriented; possess a sense of urgency and an openness to change
  • Ability to translate changing business trends into forecasts of future results
