Job Description

Dropoff, Inc is seeking a Director of Finance to own financial planning and analysis, KPI dashboards, and support our corporate development efforts. We are looking for an experienced finance professional and strategic thinker who will partner with the Dropoff executive team in a high visibility role. As the first full-time member of the Dropoff Finance team, you will play a key role in managing financial models, developing scenarios and forecasts, owning KPI tracking & reporting, and supporting our M&A efforts. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of logistics, transportation, and/or the delivery industry. The candidate would also have a proven track record of successful financial planning support and a strong interest in providing a highly operational brand of finance support to help fulfill the strategic objectives of a rapidly growing organization.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive all operational and financial planning efforts to map out near and longer term goals of the business
  • Regularly develop analyses and reports on relevant operating and financial metrics in an easy-to-understand format to senior business leaders and investors
  • Own and refine the company’s KPI dashboard(s), working across departments to acquire, synthesize, and distribute accurate data throughout the company
  • Own the 3 year financial model and the annual budgeting process internally
  • Perform analyses and pro forma models to support the company’s M&A activities
  • Track and report actuals against plan on a monthly and quarterly basis, partnering with the Accounting team
  • Maintain detailed budgets and forecasts for KPIs, P&Ls, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow and supporting analytics including variance analyses

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years progressive finance experience with a preference for experience in operations finance, corporate development or strategy roles at a venture-backed startup, transport/delivery company, investment bank, or consulting firm
  • Exceptional financial modeling skills
  • Ability to juggle, prioritize, and multi-task in a fast-moving environment with multiple stakeholder groups
  • Stellar MS Excel & PowerPoint skills
  • A thorough understanding of quantitative and qualitative financial analysis
  • Exceptional verbal / written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and change directions as needed
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, with a formidable attention to detail
  • CPA or MBA
