Centura College first began with the operation of our company in 1969 in Norfolk, Virginia. For the past 47 years, our firm has successfully expanded our training operations and Centura College now has successful campus locations with a focus on career education. Today we have six campuses in two states which include South Carolina and Virginia where our corporate offices are also located.

Centura College is a co-educational institution committed to the education and personal enrichment of each student. We currently have an opening for a Director of Education at our Columbia, SC campus.

This position is perfect for candidates who are passionate about improving instructional resources and performance, and who can communicate effectively with corporate staff, campus instructors, and students.

Qualifications, Education and Experience:

• Must have a Master’s Degree
• Prefer experience in proprietary, for-profit college education
• Previous leadership experience
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and projects concurrently
• Campus Vue experience a plus
• Must be self-starting problem solver, able to work both as a contributor and a an effective leader
• Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings

Responsibilities include:

• Supervising all instructors and education staff on campus
• Serving as the liaison between the campus and the corporate program directors who manage education
• Auditing all school curricula to ensure that instructors are using the most up-to-date syllabi
• Conducting classroom observations, substituting as instructor as needed
• Creating, monitoring and updating faculty Personnel Report for each instructor
• Assisting with the organization and facilitation of al Program Advisory Committee meetings
• Facilitating ongoing instructor development with educational personnel
• Creating and implementing programs that support student achievement
