Digital Project Manager

1. ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a talented, self-motivated Digital Project Manager to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for organization, good customer service and meeting deadlines and budgets. You should possess both a kind, friendly demeanor and a tough, unbreakable core. You are a great communicator, collaborator and leader, and feel confident leading our team and clients to successful projects online. Experience in an agency setting, and familiarity with modern web design and development is important. Experience with content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal is ideal but can be taught.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage multiple projects at the same time, with different timelines, requirements, budgets
  • Set priorities for project deliverables and adjust as needed throughout project
  • Manage client communication and build client relationships, with regularly scheduled check-in calls and feedback
  • Participate in project discovery, user testing, stakeholder interviews and content strategy
  • Generate user stories and schedule project sprints
  • Set meeting agendas and help lead project meetings
  • Lead weekly team meeting with project status updates
  • Manage expectations and project risks, resolve potential conflicts
  • Testing and QA project work
  • Manage support tickets, assign to staff as needed
  • Lead training and documentation on website tools (we will train as needed)
  • Advocate for our team, our client and the target audience of the project

Hours:

Full-time. Your schedule can be flexible but we do ask for a consistent one. The office is officially open from 9am to 5pm.

Compensation:

Competitive salary depending on experience, and benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, profit sharing, and unlimited paid vacation.

We focus on clients promoting the public greater good, such as higher ed, the arts, science and research, government, nonprofits–they are the “citizens” we serve. In short, we build great websites for great clients.

Clients include large institutions such as the University of Minnesota and Mayo Clinic, great local cities such as Bloomington and St. Paul, globally-renowned nonprofits like the Center for Victims of Torture, and well-loved museums such as the American Swedish Institute.

4. REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 2 years experience in project management, 1+ years in an agency setting
  • Experience with agile development, best practices.
  • Strong skills in organization and communication (verbal and written)
  • Proficient with office software (Google Docs, MS Office) and web-based project management tools (e.g. Basecamp, others)
  • Familiarity with SEO, Google Analytics, responsive web design
  • Willingness to learn, and strong attention to detail
  • Efficient with time, highly productive
  • Willing to demonstrate proficiency prior to full-time hire. Candidates will be paid for trial period.
