Digital Media Designer

perfect designs? The Belk Learning team seeks to deliver remarkable learning
experiences for all associates. We know that innovation can be found at the
intersection of compelling training content and creative media design. The Digital
Media Designer will collaborate with and support our Learning team (designers,
developers, facilitators, and leaders) to deliver attractive, accessible, and
engaging instructor-led training and online learning by providing graphic
design and interactive media development.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Consult with and provide creative direction to
  the Learning team and clients on the design of projects. Ask the right
  questions to gather all relevant information to guide design direction and
  create holistic design solutions that address business, brand and user/learner
  requirements.
• Deliver creative concepts for campaigns,
  designs, visuals, sequences, scripts, and characters.
• Research complex subjects, develop treatments,
  collaborate with other designers and developers to present projects on time and
  within budget.
• Creating story flows, planning transitions,
  mapping out triggers and cues. Effectively communicate these storyboards to
  stakeholders and in presentations.
• Develop mockups and wireframes, UX design
  concepts, prototypes, specifications, style guidelines, visual assets and other
  design deliverables.
• Maintain consistent style guide and design
  standards for Learning assets.
• Maintain proficient knowledge of current
  industry trends in digital design best practices.
• Create visual assets and graphics in a variety
  of styles for collateral including online learning courses, websites, and
  printed materials.
• Create animations using Illustrator and
  Photoshop elements, key framing, VO and nonlinear AV editing.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications:
Minimum Required:

• Associate’s degree and/or equivalent years of
  experience
• Specific Degree: Design, Digital Design, Digital
  Media, Business, or other related degree
• One year of professional or internship
  experience

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent years of
  experience
• Specific Degree: Design, Digital Design, Digital
  Media, Business, or other related degree

Three or more years of professional experience
