Digital Marketing Associate

CONNECT is seeking a full-time Digital Marketing Associate whose primary responsibility will be managing CONNECT’s digital presence and communication channels. The Digital Marketing Associate reports to the Senior Director of Marketing and Communications and works in partnership with the programs, events, and development team to create campaigns, messaging, and original content to support and promote CONNECT activities. The Digital Marketing Associate will work with CONNECT member companies, clients, and every internal department at CONNECT. The Digital Marketing Associate will be responsible for managing CONNECT’s email marketing campaigns, communications, authoring pieces for web and print, updating and analyzing CONNECT’s website and social media accounts, producing the weekly newsletter, and providing general support for the marketing efforts at CONNECT.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage CONNECT’s stream of digital communications and digital brand presence
  • Author and edit original written content across digital platforms – web, social, email
  • Ensure that all communications and posts are consistent with CONNECT’s messaging strategies, objectives, and voice
  • Coordinate and deliver email campaigns for all CONNECT events and programs, in conjunction with Program Managers
  • Manage all updates to the CONNECT website
  • Manage CONNECT’s social media accounts – Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram – posting relevant information for our audience in a timely manner, working to grow our audience, and monitoring analytics
  • Develop marketing communications campaigns for specific initiatives including events, programs, membership, and sponsorship
  • Research, write, format, and send the weekly CONNECT newsletter
  • Assist with the creation of thought leadership materials including web content, blogs, executive bios, newsletter content, and other content as needed

  • Strong writing skills, including knowledge of AP style and grammar and ability to write in different voices as needed
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required

Education and Experience

  • 2-3 years of marketing experience in a professional work environment
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the humanities
  • Experience with managing websites & working in a CMS, Drupal platform experience a plus
  • Experience creating and managing email campaigns in online tools, e.g. etouches, Constant Contact, or Mail Chimp, preferred
  • Experience in managing social media campaigns and tools, e.g TweetDeck, Hootsuite, or Sprout Social
  • Experience working in a CRM, Salesforce preferred
