JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Digital Librarian I is responsible for providing exceptional customer service as it pertains to the management of internal and external radiology records and data, utilizing a number of software applications and coded filing systems. Management of these records includes but is not limited to; record verification, quality assurance, duplication of internal images for patients, physicians, students and/or legal firms and importing/digitizing external and historical radiology studies into a permanent PACS system. The Digital Librarian I must be able to multi-task and prioritize and work with frequent interruptions.

EDUCATION:

High school graduate or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

Experience providing a high level of customer service. Ability to communicate effectively with people on all levels. Must be able to work independently, and as a team, with good organizational and planning skills. Must have knowledge of PCs and software applications in a Windows environment. Knowledge of PACS helpful but not required. Ability to type 30 wpm, accurate use of personal computer, keyboard and mouse. Previous experience with a numeric and color coded film filing systems helpful.
