Digital & Graphic Designer

We have an exciting new opportunity within our corporate office for a Digital & Graphic Designer.

This individual will be responsible for utilizing innovative technology, creativity, and design in the development and implementation of high quality digital and visual presentations across the marketing/communication endeavors of the YMCA of Central Florida.

The incumbent must possess superior professional interpersonal skills to establish and nurture relationships with senior executive staff, key external constituents, including the local media, volunteers, Y USA partnerships and industry vendors from corporate and non-profit institutions. Qualifications
·Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; visual arts, communications, or related field of study preferred.

·Minimum of 2 years of digital and graphic design experience required.

·High level of skill with industry standard design software, including Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection.

·Up to date with industry leading software and technologies (In Design, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop etc.)

·Microsoft Office proficiency required, including a high level of skill in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

·Demonstrated success in creating and executing motivating and effective digital and visual communications, with a supporting creative portfolio.

·Demonstrated experience and knowledge of video shooting, editing, and production preferred.

·Demonstrated experience and knowledge of creation of email and web page design (HTML, Word Press).

·Professionalism regarding time, costs and deadlines.

·Proficiency with eMarketing platforms (Lyris, MarketingCloud, Eloqua).

·Proficiency with social media programs, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.

·Proficiency in managing A/V systems for presentations, video, audio and events.

Essential Functions
·Design, develop and implement creative content for advertising, presentations, print materials, signage/banners, event materials, videos, emails, e-newsletters, website, social media, etc. for delivery to members, volunteers, donors, staff and community.

·Collaborate with Y design, brand and media agencies and Y-USA to take existing creative for key Y initiatives and modify/personalize for various applications across communication channels, Y locations and programs.

·Support key initiatives at the YMCA Family Centers and with cross-functional Y Association stakeholders through the design and development of key materials as assigned.

·Construct and manage project and approval schedules for multiple, varied projects with complex timelines and production schedules.

·Archive and tag all visual elements and media assets for the brand & cause team, including videos, photos, and artwork files.

·Maintain Y-USA brand guidelines for all visuals throughout the Association. Monitor and champion design compliance with guidelines and in support of the Association’s strategic plan and objectives, brand & cause strategy and YMCA mission.

·Anticipate the digital, visual and graphic design needs of the YMCA and Chief Officers, in coordination with the VP of Brand & Cause Advocacy and Sr. VP of Health Strategies and Business Development, to effectively deliver all types of communications.

·Embrace and stay up-to-date on the newest trends, tools and best practices within digital and visual marketing, systems, software and technology to effectively communicate the Y’s mission and cause.

·Complete project management and special assignments for the Brand & Cause Advocacy team as identified and assigned.

Salary $40,000.00 – $49,000.00
