Digital Content Coordinator

Position Summary
The Digital Content Coordinator will be responsible for daily digital-content management and reporting tasks, working with other departments to compile, format, and update editorial content and product data. This position supports the Marketing Digital team and company website, as well as external customers.

This is a highly detail-oriented position that requires strong English-language skills and an intermediate understanding of Excel, utilizing text and lookup formulas on a daily basis. The ideal candidate has 3 years of experience working at a website, preferably editing product data or marketing content in a web-based application.

Job Responsibilities

New-Product Support: Work with Product Marketing Managers and Product Managers to compile timely content for all new products. Duties including collecting and formatting product data; web-based content-editing; and categorizing products.

Content Management: Support the Marketing Data Steward by learning all aspects of a customized content-management system, including taxonomy and attribute management, user groups, user-interface behavior and training, daily update monitoring, and system development, with a heavy focus on website-feature improvements.

Data Enhancement: Organize supplemental content-enrichment projects across all company product lines. Duties include content gathering, cleansing, and data formatting; Excel-based validations, comparative analyses, lookups, concatenations, and template-buildings; data uploads using basic FTP processes; troubleshooting and analysis.

Customer-Information Support: Duties include working with the Product Marketing team to build supplemental content for customers, exporting data upon request, and supporting development of internal reporting features and customer data-export tools.

Facilitate Digital Publication: Ensure that uniform data requirements are met for a variety of digital documents and facilitate team workflows around publication of those assets.

Documentation: Assist in developing and maintaining data-management and system-user documentation.

Experience working at a website, preferably working with product information or editorial copy in a web-based content-management system. Professional blog-writing experience also considered. Need not be industry-related.

Technical/Web

Must understand simple html (e.g., links, tags, lists). Familiarity with web-based content-editing tools strongly preferred. Knowledge of basic FTP concepts preferred. Experience with JIRA/Confluence and agile-development practices a plus.

Computer Skills

Must possess intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word. Primary Excel functions required on a daily basis include: text and lookup formulas, pivot tables, form-building, and comparative analyses (no financials). Familiarity with Smartsheet a plus.

Communication

Excellent written-communication and grammar skills. This position requires reading and formatting copy; editorial or copyediting experience a plus.

Teamwork/Collaboration

Ability to work with members of several departments, across a variety of product lines, applications, and roles. Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully.

Self-Management

Ability to display a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and project deadlines.

Ability to shift project types and absorb a wide variety of processes, terminology, and product information. Ability to respond to change with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

This position requires attention to detail at the most granular level and dogged enthusiasm for identifying and correcting errors. Thoroughness, accuracy, and a strong sense of responsibility are critical in this role.
