Diagnostic Imaging/ Radiologic Sciences: Clinical Full-Time Faculty

Quinnipiac University invites applications for a 12 month full-time Clinical faculty position at the Assistant or Associate level to also serve as the Director of Clinical Education for the Radiologic Sciences Program.

This is a non-tenure-track position and will begin in July 2017.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver didactic and laboratory instruction to students primarily within the Radiologic Science Program; other Programs within the Department as deemed appropriate
  • Correlate clinical/lab education with didactic instruction
  • Evaluate student performance
  • Work with Chair, Program Director, and Faculty to review and modify curriculum as needed
  • Maintain current knowledge of the professional discipline, education methodologies, program policies, procedures and student groups
  • Supervise students while on clinical training and conduct assessment of clinical performance as needed
  • Provide service to the Diagnostic Imaging Department, School of Health Sciences, and the University

Qualifications & Special Instructions to Applicants:

  • Master’s in Radiologic Science or closely related field is required; candidates possessing a Bachelor’s degree with a strong teaching record and clinical experience may also be considered, but will be required to earn Master’s degree within two years of hire
  • Minimum of one year current employment as a radiographer
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a clinical instructor for a radiologic sciences program
  • Minimum of one year didactic teaching experience in a radiologic sciences program is preferred
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness; preference will be given to candidates with relevant teaching experience
  • Certified and in good standing as a Registered Technologist in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Multiple credentials in radiography are required
  • Candidates possessing Radiologist Assistant (RRA) credential and experience are preferred
