Job Description

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our engineering team in Sunnyvale, CA. You will work with other engineers on the team to improve the scalability and reliability of our diabetes and hypertension management platform. Our platform is built on a modern technology stack that includes mobile apps, web applications and our iHealth bluetooth and WiFi enabled smart devices (blood glucose meters, blood pressure monitors and scales).

You will be responsible for design, build and delivery of our platform and eventually lead future teammates as our services continues to grow.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure (cloud services, hosts, monitoring tools)
• Create tools for automating deployment, monitoring and operations of the overall platform
• Instrument and monitor service health and ensure availability
• Collaborate with mobile, platform engineers and product managers to continuously improve iHealth
• Enforce Security and Engineering best practices
• Train and mentor your colleagues
• Vet new technologies to support our operational needs

Qualifications

• Experience building and running applications on Amazon AWS
• Great understanding in JavaScript and related technologies (Node.js, GraphQL)
• Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration tools;
• Automation experience with Terraform
• Strong scripting skills in one of either Python, Ruby, Bash, or Perl
• Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux administration experience
• Expertise in cloud network security
• Experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL DB
