DevOps Architect – Ecosystem Infrastructure – West Region (EG)

About the role

As a DevOps Architect you will plan, analyze, design, test, deploy and migrate enterprise scale Microsoft cloud infrastructure solutions. You will seek to automate our clients’ cloud environments leveraging Microsoft and other technologies to help them realize their investment in the cloud. You will have experience with DevOps and automation methodologies and a solid understanding of development & operations best practices. You will develop relationships with key customer stakeholders to help them achieve their business goals.

You will be involved with the following:

• Designing and deploying the automation for enterprise-wide, complex cloud infrastructure solutions that meets customer’s technical, security, and business needs for apps/workloads
• Leading technical discussions with senior customer executives that drive decisions and implementation
• Reviewing and managing technical requirements and business functional requirements for automating manual activities
• Designing and Implementing Continuous Integration, automated testing and deployment while managing the product release pipeline
• Traveling to customer sites as needed, usually 80%

About you

You are an experienced DevOps Architect with knowledge of emerging and traditional technologies. You are an effective team player who can interact with all levels of an organization and knows how to meet deadlines. You likely have the following experience and skills:

• Experience developing software applications, scripting and performance testing
• Understanding of development standards and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and distributed teams
• Experience communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Working knowledge of web and application server’s management and configuration
• Solid written and spoken English skills

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of cloud technologies, including enterprise or hosting provider services SaaS, PaaS and IaaS Solutions
• Experience with Linux on Azure
• Integrating 3rd party tools (Such as Jenkins, Grunt, Maven) with Team Foundation Server / Azure Team Services
• Azure Resource Manager (ARM) template creation and JSON
• Familiarity with Team Foundation Server / Azure Team Services
• Software Build/Integration/Deployment Systems; Operational Release Management Systems, Configuration Management Systems; and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
• Experience with version control systems including Git
• Experience with Configuration Management tools including Azure Desired State Configuration (DSC), Puppet, Chef, Octopus or others
• Release management, Deployment/Migrations, Environment management, Continuous Integration, Configuration Management, DevOps, Production Support
• Experience with provisioning a virtualized cloud service environment
• Experience with PowerShell, PowerShell Workflow, PowerShell DSC
• Knowledge of IT security risks
• Knowledge of Docker Containers, Kubernetes, and containerization technologies

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or technology-related field preferred
