DevOps Administrator

As a leading and growing Educational Technology company, our platform already has over a million users, with many more on the way. In order to make our platform, website and apps highly accessible to students, educators and parents around the world, we are seeking an experienced DevOps Admin to join our team. This person must be capable of functioning independently and with a team, and highly experienced in optimizing performance with AWS, and maintaining operations of a large, robust platform with hundreds of thousands or millions of users.

Your work will be effecting the lives and educations of millions of students in underserved communities, and will make a lasting impact on the development of the students and communities they inhabit.

What you will do:
Monitor communication status and data flow for all sites

Troubleshoot communications failures including firewall

Assist in the design and planning of communication between servers and technology department

Administration and configuration of Github accounts between department and servers

Monitor overall systems performance and lead performance optimization activities on AWS

Make suggestions and decisions on hardware, operating system and network configuration in support of new system requirements

Analyze security violations at the most complex technical levels and implement procedures to stop future events

Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and industry standards and communicate the benefits of their use to senior management.

What you will need:
Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of experience in Computer Science, Information Security or similar field

Expert knowledge of Github

Expert knowledge of AWS

Knowledge in Cryptography

Experience with Linux
