Developer Java PL/SQL

As a key team member, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with the Java development environment, including J2EE, additionally Oracle PL/SQL. This individual will work closely with the product development manager and other team members in a role to design, develop and deploy Java-based applications in both a web-facing and transaction Db environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and support highly scalable, reliable and feature rich Java based applications within a transaction processing and Data Warehouse reporting environment
• Work with business and technical users to understand requirements and translate into effective technology implementations
• Liaise with IT … network administrators, systems administrators and security administrators
• Run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging
• Administer critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas
• Assist in the development and maintenance of code documentation
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Position Qualification Requirements:

• 3+ years of solid Java development experience
• Sound knowledge and experience with Java/J2EE
• Experience with web user-interface design using JSP, Struts and Tag libraries
• Experience with multi-tier systems and J2EE concepts (EJB, MDB, JMS, Session Beans)
• Working knowledge or experience with Oracle Database (9i/10g/11g) … is a plus
• Working knowledge and experience with Oracle PL/SQL … is a plus
• Working knowledge or experience with Linux OS … is a plus
• Ability to work with limited guidance in a fast paced team environment
• Must be a self-starter, with strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Effective analytical and problem solving skills are a must
• Commitment to a 24×7 environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities
