Developer II/III – EDI

Job Description

We are looking for passionate back-end developers to facilitate exchanging over 45 million Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) messages every month with our customers, service providers and international government agencies. Our developers create innovative software and infrastructure solutions that bring value to the Expeditors network and our customers through automated data exchanges with internal and external systems. Our mid-level developers are excellent trainers, customer-oriented and visionaries who ensure that the EDI team moves strategically into the future. Qualifications

Essential Experience:
3+ years coding experience in high level languages (Java, C++/C, Python, etc.)

Deep understanding of database structures and data relationships.

Proven ability to design creative solutions to meet client’s business and technical needs.

Customer service and team oriented.

Education: 4 year technical degree or comparable experience.

Preferred Experience:
Back-end technology focus.

Scripting Expert (Python, JavaScript, etc.)

Experience working with systems or business analysts.

EDI knowledge (ANSI, EDIFACT, & RosettaNet standards).

Understanding of the transportation/logistics industry.

webMethods development experience is a strong plus.
