Desktop & EDI Support Analyst

SUMMARY

Responsible for first level of support for all IT related support for desktop & users as well as primary EDI support person.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Helpdesk:

  • Helpdesk Intake: Receive and respond timely to all questions and concerns about company provide hardware and software from all users. Document all concerns as helpdesk ticket; documenting the issue, current status and resolutions provide.
  • Troubleshoot & Technical Support: Assist employees to resolve technical problems through assessment of issues presented, and application of technical knowledge and troubleshooting techniques. Escalate problems to other IT staff as necessary.
  • Training & Education; Analyze situations coming to the Help Desk to identify & recommend areas for further employee training, process improvements or technology gaps.

EDI:

  • Daily: Manage daily EDI responsibilities; including: monitoring any issues with incoming/outgoing documents
  • Initiate, test and implement small map changes
  • Assist in creation of a test of new maps for existing or new trading partners.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical requirements for this position are typical of a normal office environment.

  • Sitting, standing and walking, up to 9 hours a day
  • Occasional lifting up to 60 pounds

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee will work in an office environment with occasional work in the factory. Employee will work some nights/weekends as need to maintain systems.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 Year degree in technology field.
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & Citrix.
  • EDI or programming experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize
