Designer

Digital Designer (12 Months FTC)

We’re on the lookout for a brilliant Digital Designer at Hugo & Cat to join our studio.

Working on product launches for a global consumer technology brand, you’ll be creating high quality content that explains technology to the public. You’ll have experience in getting under the skin of a client’s brand and website design.

You’ll work closely with our Creative teams and work directly with clients too taking regular morning calls with the client who’s based overseas. You’ll also manage mid-weight designers and be responsible for seeing your ideas through to realisation.

Proven experience in digital design for the web is essential, as is an interest in consumer technology.

Specific duties will include:
Gain a thorough knowledge of our brand guidelines, including colours, layout, constraints, image sizing, etc

Work together with Copywriters in order to create page narratives that that present the product information in a customer friendly way.

Create Photoshop based page concepts to articulate the product narrative.

Designing and creating responsive product pages and supporting content.

Attending all stand ups and being proactive within the agile ceremonies

Skills required:
A strong grasp of client design guidelines

Excellent knowledge of Photoshop

Understanding the constraints of web design

HTML knowledge will be a great advantage
