Designer

We are seeking a talented CAD/Revit Designer to join our Design Team and contribute to our firm’s growth and success. This individual will be responsible for handling technical drawings and design development duties, as well as managing internal and client timelines. Due to the entrepreneurial environment of RealFood Consulting, and the rapidly changing nature of client business needs, there is a significant opportunity for professional growth. This position will work directly with our Senior Project Specialist to manage duties that include, but are not limited to:

• Preparation and detailing of foodservice drawings to be used in restaurant specification and construction
• Developing, detailing and maintaining project mechanical schedules and drawings
• Developing detailed drawings for custom fabrication
• Completing field verification of sits and plans as required
• Assisting in project management tasks in the field
• Interacting with clients, contractors and vendors to efficiently distribute information
• Supporting numerous projects simultaneously
• Adjusting priorities and timetables due to varying work loads and client priorities

Qualifications :

Minimum Skills, Experience and Education Requirements include:

• Minimum 2+ years drafting experience with AutoCAD AND REVIT
• Background in 2D CAD techniques (knowledge of CAD 3D Environment preferred) and strong knowledge of drafting principles, techniques and procedures
• Ability to manipulate vector and raster drawing files in AutoCAD
• Ability to draft plans and drawings from engineer provided markups
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products
• Experience with file sharing, document management and collaboration tools
• Strong professional verbal and written communication skills within a team environment
• Highly organized and efficient with a high level of attention to detail
• Post secondary school training in drafting (2-4 year technical certificate or degree from an accredited institution preferred with the associated degree in drafting and design technology, or equivalent)
• Candidates with prior experience in the hospitality industry are strongly preferred
• Project management experience is a plus

This is an entry-level position at RealFood, however two to four years of experience are preferred. Salary will correspond to experience.
