We are currently seeking talented Designers for our San Antonio, TX or Austin TX facility.

Job Requirements

• Performs design duties in support of the Chief Design Office (CDO) in collaboration with other design practitioners.
• Applies developing functional knowledge of design principles and processes to produce complex design deliverables in support of CDO efforts.
• Manages limited design tasks and deliverables, and/or participates as a project resource as part of a cross functional team for larger initiatives.
• Identifies opportunities and facilitates moderate improvements to design processes and practices.
• Performs routine to moderately complex design tasks under direct supervision and has limited discretion to deviate from established design guidelines.

Minimum Requirements

• 2 or more years of professional experience in digital design, with a range of interaction and interface design work.
• Bachelor’s Degree or 6+ years of design related experience.
• Developing knowledge and application of user experience design principles, interaction design skills and abilities, to produced the design deliverables needed.
• Developing level of business acumen as a designer in an enterprise setting, industry practices and emerging trends in user experience design.
• A compelling portfolio of distinctive work that demonstrates an exceptional attention to detail, thoughtful solutions, disciplined process and breadth of method.
• Completion of a Design Exercise will be required

Preferred

• Basic understanding of accessibility barriers and solutions, 508 compliance, and the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
• Storytelling capabilities; an ability to communicate concepts into a compelling narrative.
• Comfortable building low-fidelity prototypes in tool/s of choice (InVision, Axure, FramerJS, paper, etc.)
• Comfortable with flexing their skills in both Visual Design as well as Interaction/UX.
• Previous experience working with a design language system; understand the importance of component reuse and consistency across teams and projects.
