Position Overview:

Provides design and drafting support for high voltage switching production design group.

Major Responsibilities:

• Perform design and drafting duties for make-to-order high voltage switches
• Ensure drawings are accurate and timely
• Communicate regularly with shop floor regarding any manufacturability or quality issues

Education, Skills & Requirements:

Required:

• Associates Degree, or equivalent experience in drafting and design
• Must have a minimum of 2+ years of engineering drawing using CAD packages
• Must be proficient with 2D CAD packages (ideally AutoCAD and Microstation)
• Electrical Drafting (AutoCAD Electrical experience is a plus.
• Engineering change management experience is a plus.
• Mechanical drafting experience is a plus.
• Dimensional tolerance design and GD&T experience is a plus.
• Casting design experience is a plus.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred:

• Experience using 3D CAD packages (Solidworks, Inventor, etc.)
• Experience in designing products for use in the power industry, ideally switchgear
